3 Towbar Fittings Available
There are three types of motorhome towbar that we fit:
- Swan neck
- Detachable Swan neck
- Flange
The most common type approved motorhome towbar is a swan neck design. We supply and fit them all.
2012 Onwards…
From 2012 onwards, motorhomes that have towbars fitted must be fitted with a European Type Approved towbar. This means that the towbar has gone through a rigorous test procedure to ensure that it is fit for the job.
Towbars that have gone through the type approval process will be issued with a type approval number and a type approval label must be positioned on the towbar
Pre-2012 Motorhomes
Motorhomers that have had pre-2012 motorhomes will be more familiar with a full-width rear protection towbar. This type of towbar is unlikely to pass the European Type Approval tests because of the rearward weight.
Motorhome Towbar Price: Supply & Fitting
You can expect to pay between £850 to £1550 inc. Vat with full chassis extensions (dependent on the level of work required) for a Type Approved motorhome towbar.
